BrideKaren Valerie EttingerSince a young age Karen has had a passion for horses. She has turned that passion into a hobby and now raises horses on her family farm.
Karen shares Greg's passion for travel and also enjoys playing golf with Greg. Although her handicap may not be particularly notable, her talent for coordinating cute outfits and riding in the golf cart is unrivaled. |
GroomGregory Glyn FoisyHaving grown up in North Bay, Greg's early love for the outdoors has transformed to a passion for travel. Something he has continued with Karen as they've explored both sun and cultural destinations around the globe.
His other passions are astrophotography and golf, the latter being a continual work in progress. It should be noted that Greg is desperately allergic to horses. |
Best ManDave MaloneHaving met through work Dave and Greg quickly realized that they had many mutual friends from their time at University of Toronto, including Greg's sister Tracie and brother-in-law Paul.
Dave is an avid skier, scuba-diver, Dragon boat and Outrigger boat racer. We think he's secretly preparing for the 2016 Olympics but he promises to splurge and have some carbs on the day of the wedding. |
Parents of the BrideWayne & Marjorie EttingerMarried since 1968, Wayne and Marjorie have raised 2 children on the family farm in Dunnville, which has now spanned 5 generations. Wayne's passions are basketball and bridge, while Marjorie enjoys a good glass of red wine and all things related to horticulture. Together they both enjoy cruises and being snowbirds in the winter.
Wayne and Marjorie are still hopeful that one day Karen will outgrow her passion for horses. (also appearing in this photo are camels) |
Parents of the GroomAngela Foisy and the late Glyn FoisyRaised in Kirkland Lake and residing just south of North Bay, Angela has spent most of her life in Northern Ontario where she raised her 3 children alongside her late husband, Glyn.
Angela remembers Greg, the middle child, as being the most angelic of the three and a joy and ease to raise (I bet you can't guess who's editing this blog :-)). |
